Hello,
I am Merve Topcu-Bulut, a clinical psychologist, clinician, and researcher with over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and professional training. My work has developed across both academic and applied clinical settings, with a focus on complex psychological processes across different stages of life.
I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Middle East Technical University. Throughout my professional journey, I have also gained international postdoctorate research experience at the Malmö Clinical Addiction Research Unit in Sweden. My work has been shaped by diverse cultural, academic, and clinical contexts.
Alongside my clinical work, I have been involved in teaching, supervision, and professional training for clinicians and organizations. I also maintain an active interest in research and contribute to the broader development of clinical psychology practice.
My clinical approach is integrative, evidence-based, and grounded in a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework. I primarily draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Play Therapy, adapting these approaches according to individual needs, developmental context, and lived experience.
My areas of professional interest include psychological trauma, behavioral addictions, emotion regulation, schema processes, resilience, and cross-cultural mental health.
This page reflects my clinical and professional background, as well as my ongoing commitment to evidence-based psychological practice and lifelong learning in the field of mental health.
